Red Velvet Marble Cake Recipe – Vanilla and red velvet flavors get swirled in a perfectly tender, moist and absolutely decadent pound cake!!
We love the look of this red and white cake for the holidays or Valentine’s Day, but red velvet fans will request this cake all year round. Our Red Velvet Marble Cake is easy to assemble because it’s made with one vanilla cake batter; some is set aside and colored with food coloring and cocoa powder. The two batters are then layered in a pan for a beautifully swirled look. The trick to creating looping swirls is to gently layer the batter around the pan with a small cup. No need to swirl with a knife; it will marble as it bakes.
Red velvet is one of those cakes that I have trouble passing up. This cake, though, is a bit different than the normal red velvet layer cake. Let's quickly check out the ingredients

1/4 cup curd/ yogurt
1/2 cup unsalted butter
