This Eggless whole wheat coconut macaroons is different than the traditional ones. I tweaked the recipe, if you eat this eggless whole wheat coconut macaroons, you will get the taste of both macaroons and your favorite chocolate cookies!
I used whole wheat to make these macaroons, so that I can give it to my kid. As a mom, I am always worried about my son's health and his nutrition intake. I added little Cocoa for the taste, as kids love chocolates.
The purpose of not using condensed milk in this recipe is to avoid too much of sweet and I wanted to make it more like cookie than just simple macaroons.
I kept all the ingredients very simple, which you can easily get or is available in most of the Indian homes. I have not used butter as well, and have used ghee instead.
Let's quickly check out the ingredients
1/2 cup ghee
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2+1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
